The small temple has an impressive entrance arch erected during the
year 2002.
Immediately on
entry to your left is the shop selling the ghee lamps and Thulasi and it was
told by the shop owner that Thulasi comes from Dindigul and hence a small costs
Rs.40/-. And on the left is the sanndihi
of Seetha and Ramar and directly opposite on the right side of entry path is the
sannidhi of Pujya Ragavendra. Crossing
this and while you enter is the sannidhi of Kadu Hanumantharaya Swamy with the
idol installed by Sri Vyasa
Theertha.
It is said to be the 89th Hanumantha temple installed by Vyasarayaru. The Swamy's right hand blesses the devotees and left hand carries the flower Sowganthi. Poojas are performed based on Tantra Saara (Written by Madhwacharyaru which explains the procedure of daily pooja) as instructed by Sri Vyasarajaru.

This temple is of great importance to the Madhwa community and fair number of population of Dharapuram is formed by them. Sri Vyasaraja Theertha (1447-1539 AD) established this temple.
